CAL cheek with a 2.5″ purchase, 5″ shank and 8″ cheek. The Cavalry long shanked bit was most commonly used in the Cavalry mounted arms forces. It is an S cheek that sweeps back behind the mouth allowing for balance, and discouraging a horse from lipping or biting the shank.
