Here we offer something a little different. Everyone of these headstalls has been customized, with upgraded buckles and conchos. Details on all below, be sure to view the gallery for more images- each photo will have a corresponding item number.
#1 This is a simple, chestnut headstall that I replaced the conchos on. Very thick, doubled and stitched. Super cute, working rig.
#2 Futurity knot, basket stamped headstall with Mortenson buckles and conchos. These buckles/ conchos are all maker marked, and you can look them all up on Clint’s website. Buckles are the Rodeo Silver models, and retail for $55 each. Conchos on this rig are the inch and a half conchos, and retail for $22 each. Close to $200 in bling on this gorgeous headstall!
#3 One ear, chestnut headstall with Mortenson “Rio” buckles and conchos. These are the smaller conchos and buckles- they give a very classy look to this setup, and won’t overwhelm a tiny head. Simple and classic.
#4 One ear, light oil headstall, this has the Mortenson “Rodeo Silver’ buckles and conchos- however, these are the smaller, 1” conchos. Very, very pretty rig (my FAVORITE buckles) Will look great on a tiny head.
#5 One ear, light oil, basket stamped headstall- this one features the Mortenson ‘Santa Fe’ buckle and concho set. VERY feminine, very dainty- my pictures really don’t do this hardware justice- these buckles and conchos are absolutely gorgeous.
#6: One ear headstall with upgraded, Mortenson conchos in ‘Santa Fe’. Buckles are stock, stainless- so this set has just a bit of bling!
#7: One ear headstall made by Bar H- this headstall alone retailed for $49.95- it’s SUPER thick and very, very well made. I replaced all of the conchos and buckles with the ‘Diablo’ set- it’s dainty and not too girly, would look really pretty on any horse.
#8: American made, heavy oiled Herman Oak harness leather browband headstall, with maker marked, Jeremiah Watt buckles and conchos.
Again- ALL Mortenson buckles and conchos were purchased directly from Clint- and ALL carry his makers mark.
